Who I Am
Hello there! I am Wena and I am a 36 year old lady living on the tropical island of Borneo. Even though I’m in Borneo, I’m actually in the Malaysian portion, living in the state of Sarawak where the jungle grapevine network is more prolific than weeds. Say one thing in the morning and by nightfall, the most rural village will now what you said.
What I Do
I work as a manager in an electronics company. I also travel frequently attending self-development courses as part of my continuing education program and to meet like-minded people who are an inspiration and motivation. Nothing beats a dose of high-energy people when one needs a mood-picker-upper.
I’ve also had a food blog since 2003 which was the first Malaysian food blog at the time. The name of the site was “Mum-Mum Eat-Eat” and here is the link : http://www.mum-mum.info. Drop by for a drooling time
Why I Do It
On Valentine’s Day 2009, I got diagnosed with Stage II Hypertension i.e. high blood pressure. Not only that, I found myself having heart palpitations and being so overweight that I was considered obesed. I took charge of my life there and then, and had made changes to my lifestyle in terms of food, supplements and exercise. A few months down the road, I reinjured my back, aggraving an old slipped disc injury.
I’ve recovered from all that. My cardiologist took me off blood pressure medication 13 months later and I’m now working towards my weight loss goals. My back is now healed and I”m working towards strengthening it with the help of a CHEK Specialist. She taught me how to fix not only my back but my perspective and viewpoints towards life.
I want to share my story with others who are on this very same journey. I want them to know that it’s possible to change your life for the better and that there is still hope. That once belief turns to action, anything is possible, including getting over impossible health problems.
What makes this site different? It’s a research site for me as I find out more information about weight loss, high blood pressure and backpain management. I share my understanding and hopefully, I will get feedback from other people as well. This isn’t a medical site so if you need a diagnosis, please see a doctor.
