A problem with lower back pain is getting sharp, painful sciatica pain shooting down your legs. Plus, the further the pain goes down the leg, the more serious is the nerve problem. When my L5/S1 disc herniation happened again (after a period of 10 years), I could barely walk, let alone climb staircases. So it was with great relief that I found a move that can instantly relieve my sciatica pain that I could gradually start losing weight by being able to exercise more. Plus, as I did it repeatedly, the pain reduced drastically. Plus, my hips and buttocks became more loose and less tight that I have more flexibility now compared to before my accident.
What is sciatica and what causes it?
Check out this video as it explains in great detail what causes sciatica.
How to overcome sciatica pain?
By stretching your butt! Check out this video on how to do a piriformis stretch. The first time I did this, I couldn’t go down onto the floor but had to do it on a table or high stool.
When I do this exercise, I can feel my butt muscles relaxing and my sciatica pain getting less and less.
Why should I do this exercise?
To reduce leg pains and back pains while exercising. It helps the glute muscles (a.k.a. BUTT) and hip flexors to stretch and relax and not clench the nerve so tightly. When I first did this exercise, there was a tingly feeling of relief at my buttock area that I continued doing this exercise regularly until this very day.
IMPORTANT : Body pain is one of the main causes that people stop exercising, especially back pain. Treat the pain, people remain motivated to lose weight.
There is a slight modification to the above exercise so tune in tomorrow to check out my video on how to do it! The modification is for those who have problems doing the above exercise i.e. your legs and back are so tight that you can’t even do it on the floor. So I’ll do a video of how I gradually went down and eventually worked my way down to the floor.
Anyway, cheerio and have a great day ahead! Pop by tomorrow for updates!
